ABOUT THE OWNER

I launched Stretch-n-Grow of Hanover in 2004 after leaving a decade in corporate America. As a mother of two young children, I wanted to find a healthy balance of work and family. Equally important to me was helping children develop physically and emotionally with exercise while having fun. It was a leap of faith, but one I have never regretted.

As is often the case, what I thought was meant to help others actually helped me. A year after starting the business, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which began my personal journey to find strength, endurance, and health. After the initial state of trying to control the disease with many medications, I was able to get back to teaching. Being with the children and feeling the benefits of exercising with the kids motivated me to begin a new exercise and diet regimen. The results were spectacular resulting in the elimination of all medicines that were masking the symptoms and remaining on just the disease modifying medication.

I now have a desire and a purpose to teach each child in Stretch-n-Grow the benefits of taking care of their bodies with exercise and a healthy lifestyle. I know it is never too early to start nor is it ever too late. I want each child to finish a class feeling accomplished, strong, and positive.I am proud of the many programs we offer. Children can learn yoga, dance, gymnastics, soccer, and more! At Stretch-n-Grow, we know each child is unique with different talents and desires and we are excited to be able to offer FUN, educational movement experiences for everyone.

If I have had the privilege of teaching your child whether directly or through my staff, thank you for helping me live out my dream of nurturing and encouraging children of all ages
